If you have a toothache, finding a dentist that’s open during the COVID-19 crisis can be frustrating. Most dental offices have closed their doors or are only providing essential care to their existing patients. But we have good news. At Sapphire Creek Dental, we offer emergency dental care to new and existing patients of all ages.

Right now, special accommodations have to be made because of the coronavirus pandemic. But our New Braunfels dentist can still arrange to provide you with advice over the phone, prescribe medication as needed, or even meet you at our office for same-day emergency treatment.

What Qualifies as “Essential Care”?

Right now, dentists in New Braunfels and throughout Texas are only allowed to provide essential care and emergency treatments. These criteria mean providing urgent services for situations such as:

• Severe toothaches
• Broken or knocked-out teeth
• Infected teeth
• A visible abscess or swelling inside of your mouth
• Broken appliances (dentures, partials, etc.)

Basically, if you’re not able to eat or drink, or perform other normal daily activities, you should give our office a call.

What Happens First?

Since we’re working a more restricted schedule, your call will be put through to one of our staff and returned as soon as possible. If we need to see you in person, we’ll arrange to do so. Please be sure to make us aware of any recent travel history or possible exposure to individuals who have exhibited symptoms of COVID-19. If there is a possible risk of you being infected, the best thing at this time is to treat the pain or swelling with medication.
